The market has already swallowed Jean-Paul Prates at Petrobras. It wants, however, haste
from the government. See what Leonardo Antonelli, representative of the largest
private shareholders of the state-owned company, says.
>"As a representative of the largest private shareholders, I am convinced that
the best interest of the company is to resolve alternation in power as soon as possible
. This indecision is of no interest to investors. It only leads to losses of
market value of Petrobras and generates speculation on the stock exchange," says the tax expert.
The government decided to appoint Prates to the command of the oil company, but the historical
senator PT, owner of companies in the oil sector and partner of figures
who did business with Petrobras itself, raised doubts in the market
about his condition to take over the state-owned company.
